It also allows you to zero-in on only correct answers to promote memory retention and maximize your study time.Features: Flashcards in a book for maximum retentionAll-inclusive yet concise coverage of psychiatryStudy-enhancing tips, mnemonics, and insider adviceClinical vignettes chapter preps you for cases you'll see on the exam This is a well-rounded book suitable for shelf exam study, clinical rotations, and USMLE review. The question and answer style makes for quick reading while covering high-yield information. Similar DSM-IV diagnoses are compared to illustrate their distinctive diagnostic criteria. The content is up to date with a good review of pharmacotherapies. The clinical vignettes are throught-provoking with attention given to differential diagnosis and complete discussions of the case. I enjoyed this book and would recommend it as an excellent review text. -- Brian Piltz, Class of 2005, University of Washington Streamlined review for Step 2, including high-yield vignettes and DSM IV criteria for the frequently tested disorders. The vignettes are the best part of the book. -- Patrick Burnside, Class of 2007, Brody School of Medicine
