OverviewProject Blue, the newest collection from San Antonio-based poet Bill Shute, reissues a number of poems found in long out-of-print short-run KSE chapbooks from the 2006-2010 period (Bridge to Nowhere; Upside-Down; Happening; Texture and Accident; Envy; San Antonio Good Friday), most only available briefly via Volcanic Tongue mail order, along with a brand-new 40-page open-field poem, Project Blue, composed in late 2023. With poems ranging over a 17 year period, and covering a wide variety of poetic styles and formats, PROJECT BLUE: NEW AND SELECTED POEMS 2006-2023 is an excellent overview of Shute's work and is available for less than the cost of any one of the original chapbooks on the secondary market. As always, it's unlike anything else you'll read this year.
