Table of ContentsReviewsPreppy Gyrl Country Club is the missing piece for African-American teen girls, especially those with a Christian background. It addresses entering into college and what it is like living on campus with freedom to do whatever you want. It really helps girls to think twice about the decisions that they make based on reading about these young ladies! By the way, I love Fah'ry. She's so real! Dr. Candice Abigail The chapter on sororities and fraternities is really good. It is a refreshing and biblical perspective on why Christian girls shouldn't join sororities. -Ava I loved this book! It's like a reality show on paper! These girls go through some tough stuff! It keeps you turning the pages to see what happens to them. Very good book for black teenage girls who want to go to college. The fact that they are from the poor areas of Chicago is cool. I feel like they are just like me. I can relate to Brooke so much. The issues that she has with her mom are very real to me. Tiana Johnson I like that they are Christians, smart and virgins. The author does a great job of showing their faith and balancing out the truth, which is, they are still teenagers with temptations. Author Angela Crosston Wow! The temptations, the drugs, alcohol and the party with the gangs took me by surprise. I was not expecting it at all. I guess that is a peer pressure that a girl can experience, Christian or not. I recommended this book to my youth ministry at church. They all need this before going away to college. I love The Scriptures and the church scenes. Great way to show the life of a Christian girl growing up. Victoria I can't wait for the next book. What happens to Fah'ry? Toni Trying to figure out what was up with the girl that likes Blue was wrecking my brain. She is so smart and very spiritual. She hears God and it iaas wonderful to see a young girl embrace being a Christian and not be ashamed. These girls are best friends. It is nice to experience true friendship in this book. I can't wait to read the next book. I hope that they remain friends. It is so rare to find but girls who are friends like this. -Serenity Thomas This book really seemed like a thriller. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. I could not put this book down!! The way that the author showed the virginity part had me in tears. Makes you think... Ooh, I really didn't like that Chaston or Diesel! Heartbreaks are painful. I loved the cars and the fashion. I am definitely buying a J.D shirt. I like her personality. She's a pre-med major. I am going to study that too! Jordan The prophetic gift is not often talked about as it relates to teenagers. This is great that it is covered in a book for teenage girls. The gift does not start when you get older, it actually starts when you are younger and I appreciate the author covering this topic. My daughter really needs this. That girl Fah'ry. All that I can say is poor girl! She's really in love. I hope somehow that she gets better. Smh A. Camden Identity crises are everywhere in this book. Great way to shed light on domestic violence and families and how it affects the kids. These are churchgoing family is going through this. Kudos to the author for talking about this taboo subject. This is a book on survival. These beautiful girls are pushing hard through their troubles and home backgrounds to make it out of a bad neighborhood and go to college. I love it!
