RON LENK is an authority in the field of power electronicsand systems. The author of the bestselling Practical Design ofPower Supplies (Wiley), he has spent the last seven years workingon LEDs and lighting. Most recently, Lenk cofounded and was CEO atSuperBulbs, Inc., which makes general service LED light bulbs. Heis a Senior Member of IEEE, has twelve issued patents, and thirteenmore pending in the field of lighting. CAROL LENK is cofounder and Director of Engineering atSuperBulbs, Inc. She earned a B.S. in electrical engineering fromMIT and a master's in math and science education.One of thepioneers in applying LEDs to general lighting, Lenk has five years'experience combining theoretical concepts with practicalengineering in fields as diverse as optics, thermal modeling,material science, electronics, and mechanical design, with morethan a dozen patents pending, all relating to LED lighting.
