He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry, London, and a recipient of ""best researcher of the year 2018"" award from APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, Thiruvananthapuram, India. He has also received awards such as best faculty award from the Indian Society for Technical Education, best citation award from the International Journal of Hydrogen Energy, a fast-track award of young scientists by Department of Science & Technology, India, and an Indian Young Scientist Award instituted by the Indian Science Congress Association. He is also a recipient of CMI Level 5 Certificate in Management and Leadership from Dudley College of Technology, London as part of AICTE-UKIERI Training Programme. He did his postdoctoral studies at the University of Blaise Pascal, France, and Inha University, South Korea. He has guided eight PhD scholars and 102 student projects. He has published and presented almost 240 publications in journals and in conferences and his h-index is 27. Sam John is working as an Assistant Professor in Chemistry at St Berchmans College (Autonomous), Changanassery, affiliated with Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, Kerala, India. He received his PhD degree in Chemistry from the University of Calicut in 2013. His research is focused on the development of corrosion control using organic coatings and inhibitors and recently focused on designing and tailoring materials for energy-related applications (batteries and supercapacitors) and Corrosion mitigation in metal-air batteries. Dr. John has published more than 34 papers in peer-reviewed international journals in electrochemistry and contributed five book chapters published by CRC Press and Elsevier. He has an h index of 14.
