Author Information

Emily Dickinson isolated herself from the world very early and did not admit, from then on, to come into contact with anyone who was not equal to her knowledge and affections, as were, for example, her four tutors: Benjamin Franklin Newton, who made him read at a very early age to Emerson, and then the Reverend Charles Wadsworth, the writer Samuel Bowles and Judge Otis P. Lord, with whom he maintained an abundant and assiduous correspondence to which today all those who wish to delve into the spiritual adventure of such a peculiar personality.
