He was educated at the Plymouth Coburg Street School and later the University of Toronto; he moved to Canada in 1952. Trevor trained in photography with British Empire Films. He retired after 35 years of service with Air Canada. Trevor is married to Kay (1956) and is blessed with 5 children. His hobbies include building model airplanes and radio-controlled boats, travelling, archeology, writing stories and poetry, water-colour painting and watching television.
