Ms. Wheeler authored the first training manual - Telephone Triage: Theory, Practice and Protocol Development - a best-selling classic in the field. In 1995, with a Task Force of 25+ expert nurses and physicians, Ms. Wheeler served as Editor-in-Chief to develop Adult and Pediatric Telephone Triage Guidelines (1995 -2017) -- the first and only three-volume, age-based guidelines to utilize a 5-Tier Triage approach to Telephone Triage.
