Author Information

Randall de Seve has a toy boat that sits on her desk. She and her daughter Paulina made it from a can, a cork, a toothpick, and some white tape. One day, while she was daydreaming, the boat told her its story. Toy Boat is Randall's first book. She started writing stories several years ago, while teaching young children just outside on New York City in the USA. Now it is her daughters, Paulina and Fia, who inspire her. Randall lives in Brooklyn with her artist husband, Peter, and their daughters. They spend summers on a lake in Connecticut, playing on the beach and watching (only slightly) bigger boats go by.
