In colleges and universities, information technology (IT) has become a key factor in the execution of day-to-day operations as well as the promotion of goals and missions. As a variety of technologies are put into place in many areas of the campus - from the dorm room to the dean's office - the need for cohesion and co-operation among these systems has increased and effective management of IT has become critical.
