Overview

Have we lived before? Another life in an earlier period of time? 1524. The new-born howled into the night. ""The infant is a girl, a healthy girl, my lady."" They named her Isabelle after her dead mother. 1951. The baby cried loudly, as if not in the least pleased to arrive. ""It's a girl,"" cried the midwife. ""I think I'll call her Sally, after my dead sister."" said her mother. 2015. ""Who are you? If only you could tell me."" The man was softly spoken and persuasive. The young woman looked into his eyes with a knowing smile. ""You know who I am. I'm Sally, but you see me as Bella,"" she answered. ""We two are now one - my name is Sabella."" This is her story.... In the French Alps a frozen lake hides a grim secret. A burial chamber with a coffin carved out of ice. Inside it, the body of a young woman as perfect as the day she was laid to rest, nearly five hundred years before. In the summer of 2015, following an earthquake, Richard Pitt-Thomas one of four men climbing in the Alps discovers the body. He is excited by the find. Richard can see no ethical reason why the coffin containing the frozen corpse should not be transported back to London and a secret laboratory where scientists are engaged in cryogenic research. They bring his ice-maiden slowly back to life. Richard is being drawn into the unknown, unaware of what his actions are about to unleash... Sally Marsh is a wealthy mature woman disillusioned and bored. She starts to experience episodes from the past in the form of realistic dreams, but these aren't dreams, they are reality. In the past, she was Isabelle Montague, living in poorer circumstances as the daughter of a governess in Tudor England. Isabelle is in love and a glorious destiny beckons at the end of a journey fraught with intrigue and danger. But time is fast running out. She slips back and forth in time, reliving her former life, having no idea how this all happens and is powerless to stop it.... One Woman - Two Lives - Two Loves - Two Deaths.....Fate or Destiny?

Author Information

Diane Bithrey was born in Lockington Hall, Leicestershire. A graduate of the university of life, spending many years running a successful business with her husband and bringing up her family in Dunstable, Bedfordshire. She found it far more interesting living life than writing about it. Her passion has always been for Tudor History and reading historical novels, including those from Jean Plaidy, Kate Mosse and Philippa Gregory, with her undoubted favourite being 'The Other Boleyn Girl'.. It's a wonder a place at the dinner table hasn't been set for King Henry himself. Writing seemed to start at an early age, particularly in school and continued into adulthood under the pseudonym of ""Krystal Kleer"" - an anarchic feature writer. This was simply for fun and, as yet, unpublished. Her first novel was always going to be a challenge, but with the assistance of Nicola Morgan's 'Write To Be Published' which was always by her side, she managed to turn a dream into reality. The characters in Parallel Lives - Rest & Resurrection, became real through many a late night writing session and it's only through the help of cold cups of coffee and Blossom Hill that sanity almost remains..... The second book is in progress and the host of characters watch and wait in trepidation to see who will live and who will perish. Diane pretends not to notice.... Bio written by Elaine Bithrey.
