Overview

Baron Byron Balazs nears the end of his arduous journey; his bodyguard-the enigmatic and deadly Vampire Hunter D -- has delivered him to his faraway home in Krauhausen. Having survived the near-epic journey, and many attempts on his life -- ordered by his father, the dread Vampire Noble Lord Vlad -- the baron thinks he is ready for his final battle, whatever the cost. But Lord Vlad is not so easily vanquished, as he unleashes yet another host of nefarious killers on his son, not least of whom is a mad doctor who was enlisted to perform sinister experiments on the young baron's mother years before! Adapted from the novel and produced with a full cast of actors, immersive sound effects and cinematic music! Performed by Scott McCormick, David Cui Cui, Mike Carnes, Mark Harrietha, Gabriel Michael, Danny Gavigan, Emily Beresford, Amanda Forstrom, Khaya Fraites, Terence Aselford, Sara Greenfield, Donald Guzzi, Drew Kopas, Shawn K. Jain, Ryan Haugen, John Kielty, Tyler Hyrchuk, Andrew Mimms, Yasmin Tuazon, Karen Novack, Thomas Penny, Bradley Foster Smith, Michael John Casey, Wyn Delano, Ian Russel, and Nora Achrati.

Author Information

Yoshitaka Amano is a comic book and manga creator, artist, and cover artist known for his work on Aliens, Sandman, and Speed Racer. Hideyuki Kikuchi is a Japanese author famous for his horror novels. His most famous works include the Vampire Hunter D series, Darkside Blues, and Wicked City. He has been compared to both Stephen King and H. P. Lovecraft. Kikuchi was born in Choshi, Japan, on September 25, 1949. He attended Aoyama Gakuin University and was trained as a writer by famed author Kazuo Koike. His first novel, Demon City Shinjuku, was published in 1982. Kikuchi became close friends with writer and director Yoshiaki Kawajiri during his adaption of Wicked City and the two have since collaborated on Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust and the OVA of Demon City Shinjuku. Emily Beresford earned her bachelor's degree in liberal studies with concentrations in creative writing, music, and English from Green Mountain College in Vermont. In 2013, she was nominated for an Audie Award and received an Earphones Award. She currently resides with her wonderful husband and their two amazing children in Michigan. Ever since he was a child, Mike Carnes has loved to entertain. Whether telling stories or acting out zany Monty Python sketches, his passion was making others laugh, and his dream was to be the voice of a cartoon character. After twenty years in the IT industry, Mike decided to pursue his dream, and is now a full-time audiobook narrator and voice-over artist from his home studio in Omaha, doing what he loves: telling stories and entertaining others. He still, however, does not like spam! (Cue singing Vikings.) Scott McCormick is an in-demand narrator with a background in film and stage acting. Terrence Aselford is a professional narrator, editor, and director. He has been commissioned by the Library of Congress and recently founded the Cutting Corporation, a company specializing in sound effects for science fiction series.
