Author Information

About the Author and this handy guide Gareth Jones has 32 years teaching experience in the South East of England. In that time he has taught History, been the Head of a successful Drama department and served as the Standard Learning and Effectiveness Service Advanced Skills Teacher {Gifted and Talented.} He has also been an Inclusion Manager, a Mentor, a House Leader and a Year Leader and it is from the later role that this book emerged. Gareth happened to be Head of Year 7 when the college {now an Academy} at which he is based went over to a House system. He was therefore the last person to have managed transition and so, 13 years later........ He is currently a Lead Practitioner for Transition and has been responsible, with an extensive team and supportive managers, for developing the complex and highly effective transition process described in this desktop handbook.
