Author Information

Elizabeth D. Dore, Ed.D. is recently retired from Radford University (VA) as a full professor in the School of Education and Leadership. She was the coordinator of middle-level teacher education for 14 years, teaching classes in educational psychology, adolescent development, classroom management, assessment, and supervising middle school pre-service students in both early field experience and student teaching. Deborah H. McMurtrie, Ph.D. is an associate professor in the School of Education at the University of South Carolina Aiken. She is the university’s middle-level education program coordinator and teaches courses in educational psychology, adolescent development, classroom management, assessment, and teaching diverse populations in the middle and high school. She is a certified teacher with more than 25 years of teaching experience.
