In 2009, he returned to the ICCAS as a Professor of Chemistry and Materials Science and has since been working on photonic nanomaterials and nanodevices, aiming at solving the problems faced by electrons in information storage, processing and transmission. His research interests include controlled synthesis of nanostructures with specific photonic functions, fundamental exciton processes involved in the nanomaterials, and construction of nanoscale elements and devices for light manipulation and photonic signal processing. He has published more than 70 peer-reviewed papers in prestigious chemistry and materials science journals, including J. Am. Chem. Soc., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Adv. Mater. Many of his works have also been highlighted in high-level journals, like Nature, Nature Nanotechnology, J. Am. Chem. Soc., NPG Asia Materials, RSC Chemistry World, etc. Prof. Zhao’s work has won him a list of the most competitive and prestigious awards in China, including the Scopus Young Scientist Award, the Chinese Chemical Society Award for Outstanding Young Chemist, the Chinese Academy of Sciences Award for Outstanding Young Scientist, the Chinese Chemical Society-Evonik Chemical Innovation Award, and the Distinguished Young Scientist Fund given by the National Natural Science Foundation of China. His achievement has also been recognized internationally. For example, he has been awarded the Asian and Oceanian Photochemistry Association Prize for Young Scientist in 2013 and the Chinese-American Chemistry & Chemical Biology Professors Association Biomatik Distinguished Faculty Award in 2014. He has been invited to join the Editorial Board for Scientific Reports (NPG) andAdvanced Optical Materials (Wiley). Tab Content 6Author Website:Countries AvailableAll regions |
