Author Information

Sara Palacios is a children’s book illustrator. She was born in Mexico City and earned BFA and MFA degrees in Illustration from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. In 2012, she was awarded the Pura Belpre Illustrator Honor for Marisol McDonald Doesn’t Match (Children’s Book Press). Marc Harshman has been the poet laureate of West Virginia since 2012. In addition to his poetry collections, he has written a dozen books for children, which have been published in several different languages.
