Miller, Jr. They are the parents of six children; and grandparents of six grandsons. The Metropolitan Baptist Church, in Washington, D.C., under the Pastorate of Reverend Dr. H. Beecher Hicks, Jr., licensed and ordained her. She was the second woman, at the historical Metropolitan, to receive the right to preach the Gospel. She is one of the first ten African American graduates of the University Of Georgia (UGA) in Athens, Georgia. While at UGA, Reverend Miller established Pamoja, which became the African American Choral Ensemble. Later, she earned the Master of Arts Degree in Organizational Communications from the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences; and the Master of Divinity Degree from the Howard University School of Divinity. Reverend Miller and her family planted The Messiah's Temple Christian Ministries in 1995. In addition, she established The Institute for Christian, Inc., which is a national discipleship, teaching, and development ministry; and Hannah's Hope Family Life Center.
