Hopkins Excellent book with great information for off-roading or overlanding. Why it doesn't come up in a search for overlanding I don't know. There is much practical for information for off the beaten path. Additionally for the preparation of a off-road expedition. Only downside is the photos and print could be better quality. All in all well worth the money! 300+ pages of solid overland and expedition driving knowledge Five Stars by Arclight I have been on a Search & Rescue team for about 15 years. I wish a book like this had been available earlier, as I would make all of our new members read it before they drive our rigs. It's a very comprehensive book covering vehicle prep, navigation, off-road travel and dealing with emergencies state-side and in undeveloped places in the world. This is not a ghost-written survival book with information you could have Googled to get. Jack is a real author who also does books and training for the explosives and blasting industry and his style is very readable. Why Dont you own this Yet?! Five Stars by Eric G. If you enjoy off road anything. If you enjoy off grid anything. If you know nothing at all about these topics but enjoy the outdoors, you will really enjoy this book. Once again Jack has done a stellar job laying the groundwork for all things off-road, survival and all of the details in between. Such a fantastic resource!
