Después de terminar sus estudios de diseño y comunicación visual en el ISIA de Urbino, en 1996 ganó el primer premio en el concurso de ilustración Figures futures del Salon du Livre et de la Presse Jeunesse, Montreuil; en 2000, ganó el Prix Attention Talent-Fnac; en 2002, el Prix Octogones. En 2007, consiguió una mención en el Bologna Ragazzi Award. Ha expuesto su obra en Bologna, Milán, Roma, París, Lisboa, y Tokio.
