Victor I. Danilov-Danilyan is Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and doctor habilitatus in Economics. His most important achievements are the implementation of systems analysis for socio-economic and ecological processes, the development of optimization mathematical models, designing the methodology of sustainable development, and the solution of problems of ecology in Russia and worldwide. His system of fines for negative impact on the environment, including the discharge of waste water, was widely implemented in Russia. He is also the author and co-author of more than 500 scientific publications.Natalia A. Piskulova is doctor habilitatus in Economics and Professor at the International Economic Relations Department of the Moscow State Institute of International Relations, Russia. She specializes in the environmental aspects of international economic relations and trade policy, business cultures, and the competitive advantages of nations. She is the author and co-author of more than 150 books and articles.
