Prior to joining Exeter, Umair was a Senior Lecturer in Operations Management and Director of Resources and Work Allocation at University of Bristol. Over the past 14 years, Umair has worked as senior leader, consultant, lecturer and a mentor in top institutions (i.e. University of Bristol, UCL, University of Warwick and Exxon Mobil). Umair's research interests are interdisciplinary, within the area of Operations and Supply Chain Management. His research predominantly adopts the analytical and empirical approaches. His current research interests include Food sustainability, social media research, Circular Economy and sustainable supply chains. I joined University of Deby as the Senior Lecturer in Operations and Supply Chain Management. Before joining University of Derby, I had worked in different universities in the UK and Overseas. I am leading a range of modules on the undergraduate (BA Hons and BSc) , postgraduate (MBA) and professional (CIPS) programmes. I hold a PhD from University of Warwick where my research was focused on the efficiency measurement of business operations in financial insitutions. My reaserch interest lies at the intersection of Operations, Finance and Economics with special focus on Sustainability in Supply Chains and Circular Economy. Huy got his Ph.D. degree from Kyoto University, Japan with research interests including but not limited to supply chain management, quality management, risk management and operations management. He has published on these topics in high-quality academic journals such as International Journal of Production Research, Journal of Manufacturing Technology Management, Business Process Management Journal, Engineering, Construction and Architectural Management, etc. Huy aims to prepare his students as work-ready graduates through practice-based learning methods. Thinh Gia Hoang is a senior research fellow at the Institute of Economics and Strategic Management, Hanoi, Vietnam. His current research activities concern sustainable business models, supply chain sustainability, blockchain-enabled business, digital transformation, and technology management. He has published research in distinguished journals such as Technological Forecasting and Social Change, Business Strategy and the Environment, Journal of Enterprise Information Management, amongst others.
