Overview

This is my debut children's book, My Whole Heart. In it, a little girl diagnosed at birth with a Congenital Heart Defect, learns about what that means for her as well as her family. It talks about, through a child's perspective, her life leading up to her heart surgery. This story also introduces, child friendly, heart anatomy terms teaching about a normal heart vs. a special heart like hers. She learns also, what it means to embrace her unique new attribute that she received from surgery. It is a story for all children, teaching them to find beauty in what makes them different while educating children on a specific heart health issue.

Chiandria Beauford was born in Germany and raised in Atlanta, GA, the ""Peach State"" capitol. As a college student, in South Georgia, Chiandria earned her degree in Early Childhood Education and developed her passion in inspiring children. This passion was joined with a purpose after her daughter was diagnosed with a Congenital Heart Defect. Incredibly impacted by her child's strength and others like her, she was driven to tell her story.
