I love the metaphor of the ocean she used throughout the book. This is a great mentor text for authors who struggle with forced rhymes. Candina Ann is an author who believes in guiding and encouraging the caring nature of children, celebrating the triumph over hardship, and contributing regularly to her community through her accomplished works and devoted time. A native Californian, Candina Ann spent most of her life on the island of Alameda and in the city of Oakland, near the beautiful and infamous San Francisco Bay Area. She has always been influenced by the water and it's natural healing elements and visits it regularly for self-reflection and inspiration. Her popular children's series titled Adventures in Learning with Malibu was launched in 2016 and grew into 6 books in the series by 2018. Her latest work is My Own Ocean Tides [2020], a poetic description of overcoming her life challenges while gained the wisdom of valuable life lessons is now available in ebook, music, and print this month August 2020.
