""My Journey"" was written specifically for breast cancer survivors, however, it can be used for any cancer survivor. The book consists of poems and journal entries to help document the breast cancer journey. Each poem is followed by a journal entry to document and stimulate thought-provoking topics. There are entries for mental state, diet, appointments, contacts, medication logs, concerns, questions for doctors, pain logs, a hydration log, and more. These topics are designed to aid in the healing process and motivate and inspire individuals to have an 'I have you but you don't have me attitude.'

LaShonda is a lifetime learner and teacher of wellness focusing on the mind, body, and soul. She holds a degree in Health Science, is a licensed cosmetologist, a certified fitter of mastectomy, a medical massage practitioner, a certified lymphedema therapist, a certified personal trainer, and a breast health educator. She continues to expand her knowledge base and skills to meet the needs of her community. She is also a wife and mother. She has been an entrepreneur for over 20 years and continues to serve the community. LaShonda understands that her gifts were given to her to share with the world. She wants her life to serve as a catalyst for transformation and she is well on her way.
