Overview

"This workbook is the first of its kind. It will guide you step by step through the seemingly complex process of learning Japanese from scratch. Most Japanese textbooks, require you to know some Japanese before you even start it. Therefore, many students of Japanese, have certain insecurities when it comes to building knowledge on top of a frail foundation. This book allows anyone to consolidate a proper base and successfully face the following levels, knowing you have not left anything out.As we move forward, the difficulty also increases accordingly. It is cumulative and progressive. This means that every lesson, we will try to bring up those topics we have seen in the previous lessons. Over more tan 15 years, I have taught Japanese in different academies to over 50 different groups all over Europe. After having used over more than 10 different Japanese textbooks, I have realised one of many things. Most Japanese books are vague programs which follow a rigid structure and move way too fast in the first couple chapters. This often leads to the discouragement and overwhelming of the student. This is my life-work and best attempt at giving you a solid foundation of a foreign language, step by step, without rushing. This textbook and workbook is the result of more than 15 years of empirical adaptations to what actually worked for the students. It has been tested and tried with real life students full of enthusiasm. If you decide to aid your linguistic journey with a guide, a teacher or the Murasaki Method online course, you will gradually learn to trust your new abilities and feel secure about your Japanese skills. You will basically have this enormous confidence from knowing you have left absolutely no gaps or nothing behind during the first steps of learning Japanese. After finishing this first initiation course, you will be autodidactic at almost any level. Another important note about this book is that it also includes the ""slang"" words that do not usually appear in conventional textbooks. The reason is simply because they try to teach ""clean"" and ""correct"" Japanese to prevent people from using a street version. Informal language is also often times more difficult than the forml language. Albeit, as we all know, the ""slang"" is widely used in all anime."
