For 9 years she was wrongly diagnosed and treated for Major Depressive Disorder. It wasn't until 2011 while she was pregnant with her 7th baby that she was diagnosed with bipolar disorder. Rebecca has made it her mission to reach out to other moms with bipolar and encourage them that there is always hope. Rebecca lives in Northeastern Pennsylvania with her husband and 6 of her children. On June 13, 2014 she launched Mothering Through Bipolar, Rebecca is a true advocate for moms with bipolar disorder. She is involved in her local hospital's Behavioral Health Initiative Program. She's also been nominated for Wego Health's Advocating For Another and Health Activist Award.
