Parents will be beyond grateful for this book! --Matthew Stuart, head of the Caedmon School, the first Montessori School in NYC A must-read book for any parent, grandparent, or teacher who wants their infants and toddlers to grow into independent children who love to learn. As an early childhood educator, I found the activities described as developmentally appropriate, easy to do, and most importantly, fun! --Joan Stapleton, MS.Ed. early childhood educator, teacher trainer Whether you're about to be new parents or already parents of a young child, you will find this book an invaluable resource in either preparing for your newborn or establishing your youngster's very important early foundation. In using the Montessori methods as the underpinning, Montessori at Home takes those concepts and broadens them to show how they apply to your child's well-being and development, regardless of school choice. As a grandmother of five, I believe this book should be required reading for parents who want the insight that is needed to raise well-adjusted, happy, and productive individuals--whether or not you plan on sending your child to a Montessori school. --Dolores Costigan, R.N. Tara draws on her decades of experience to distill Montessori principles with ease for young families, sharing priceless tips along the way! Using a Montessori lens, she takes the reader through stages of early childhood development and constructs an easy-to-follow guide on the many ways to support independence and growth, meaningfully engage and play, and nurture healthy attachments.
