Believe it or not the mnemonic technique used in this book is possibly the most simple and powerful in remembering the meaning of difficult words. Here's how it works: Take the word ABUT, which means to lie adjacent to another or share a boundary. All you need to do is to use the mnemonic link words provided by the book to form a sentence or phrase to remember it. We have the following as the first example: ABUT - (v.) to lie adjacent to another or share a boundary ABUT = A Border Unites Turkey. The first letters of the above sentence match each letter of ABUT. You don't need to be genius to work out how effective this is. What you need is some more examples: IMP - (n.)
