Overview

Mixture - Dare To Be Different Study Guide is Pastor and Author John F. Lofton's tool for individuals and study groups to develop a more vibrant and healthy relationship with Jesus Christ. The book Mixture- Exposing the Power of Being Distinctively Different exposed the reader to how blatantly Christians principles have become subtly, yet homogeneously, infused into the modern church through ungodly mixture. Mixture is the bringing together of two things that, ordinarily, are diametrically opposed to one another. It is a direct socializing of the things of God with the things of the world. Once you have been exposed to mixture, John invites and challenges you to address real issues that prohibit Christians from being effective in their families, communities, corporate America and in ministry. You must get desperate and allow the Holy Spirit to perform surgery to remove all things pertaining to mixture. God wants to expose how powerful you are as distinctively different and uniquely valuable pieces of a puzzle that is designed to fit perfectly into His narrative. Dare to take a stand; dare to live holy; dare to be a bold voice for righteousness; dare to stand for the principles of the Word of God; dare to be a champion for truth....... Dare to be Different!

Author Information

John F. Lofton was born and raised in Mobile, Alabama. He served 6 years in the U.S. Marines and is grateful for both his country and coastal upbringing. He is profoundly intense, intellectually insightful, spiritually inspiring and socially relevant. He is passionate about his profession in business and technology, as well as his unrelenting call to be a pastor in the community of Indian Trail, a suburb of Charlotte, NC. His reach has no boundaries-from children to youth and from seniors to everyone else in between-he is devoted to extending his personal mission of equipping the saints for the work of the Ministry. Equipped with a vision, and a unique teaching style; he has been asked to minister to diverse congregations, denominations and non-profit organizations. His messages are hard-hitting, powerful, insightful and relevant. With great courage and great care, he also faithfully seeks to serve his surrounding police departments, school districts, and those in local positions and offices of authority and legislation in an effort to help bridge the gap between community and congregation. He is impassioned about maintaining successful and loving marriages as well as preparing others for marriage and has conducted marriage conferences/boot camps/retreats and single adult conferences that provide actionable tools that help others understand what a Covenant relationship truly looks like. He strongly believes in helping single people identify who they are in Christ and how to discern a counterfeit relationship. In 2016, John launched his non-profit, John Lofton Ministries, affirming his mission to educate, motivate, inspire, and teach people to dig deeper into their callings. Pastor John looks forward to the future influence of his ministry, as well as the impact of his most recent project, his debut book, Mixture. He is the Founder and Senior Pastor of Covenant Community Church, Indian Trial NC; Founder and President of John Lofton Ministries Inc; Certified Chaplain with Marketplace Chaplains; Board of Directors - Operation Cheer Up A Child. Currently John resides in Indian Trial, a suburb of Charlotte NC, with his wife of 21 years, Elaine. They have two daughters, Ashley and Caitlin and three grand-children. He is consistently living out the values he espouses in his personal life and believes that building peripheral covenant relationships is essential for continued growth for any leader.
