Mineko: Book of Sisters By RG Dillon was awesome! I finished it a few weeks ago and am still digesting it. I haven't read anything like that in a long time, if ever. This was an emotional whirlwind rollercoaster that I was not expecting. I was totally into the scenes and feel like I learned something and have a new appreciation for the Japanese culture. Never read anything with samurais before. Love these characters, and reading about life in 1600's Japan was a new experience for me. Mineko: Book of Sisters was a really good book that captured my attention from the beginning, pulled me in, and never once let go. Each scene was engaging, imaginative, and flowed smoothly from one to the next... never a dull part where you get bored or want to skip ahead... in fact almost the opposite with the various interweaving plotlines and going from one character and event in Mineko's life ... Okay I really loved this book. I thought it was excellently written and the editing was nearly flawless. This book Mineko: Book of Sisters kept my attention from the heartbreaking opening to the satisfying ending. ... that I felt an almost immediate connection to Mineko, and I found myself just wanting to read more... and more... and more... and I couldn't believe it when I realized I was totally hooked, and I felt transported to another world just by experiencing the lives of these incredible characters who are so true to life and authentic, yet unlike any I've met before. ... I felt sucked in right away into the story, and here is such strong, vivid writing, and the characters are all fascinating, flawed, and going through their own transitions and drama. GREAT character development and dialogue, and everything just felt authentic
