In 2001 his video production Video Magic won the 2001 Mahnke Award, a national award given for excellence in amateur, educational productions. Rubisch has made many presentations nationwide on education, counseling, and the use of technology in the classroom. He holds a PhD in Instructional Systems from Penn State. His proudest achievement however, is assisting many, many of his high school seniors reach their post-secondary dreams.
