Overview

Michael Mickelstick Saves The Day is a tale about a little boy who moves far away to a new school in a new town where he does not know anyone. Michael is shy, nervous, and worried that he will never fit in. .A school field trip gives Michael the opportunity to come out of his shell and start to find himself. The field trip with his classmates, who all seem to have very long names that he cannot pronounce, is to Farmer Frank's whacky farm where all the animals are extra unusual - picture three-headed cows and invisible chickens ! During the farm visit, a cheeky piggy that was hiding in various other animal pens grabs the class cooler full of lunches and starts to run. Hungry and still nervous Michael Mickelstick surprises himself by chasing after the piggy and convincing the cheeky lunch grabber in the best way to give back the lunch cooler. The story concludes with Michael finding his smile and feeling very happy.

Author Information

"Craig is a bibliophile and ""make children smile""-a'phile who lives in Manhattan with his family. When not making up silly zany characters for his adorable daughters - 9 year old Missy and 4 year old Mabel Grace, Craig is a full-time finance professional who advises and manages money for families and institutions. I am grateful to all those who have helped me bring to life my first of what I hope to be many fun books. I am a first-time author but long time lover of books of all kinds. I am grateful to the many authors who have influenced me - to name a few - Mikhail Bulgakov, Dr. Seuss, Herve Tulles, Haruki Murakami, Mo Williams, Maurice Sendak, Margaret Wise Brown and Clement Hurd, Eric Carle and the fabulous Sandra Boynton. Please take no offense the countless amazing authors that I did not mention."
