The OECDs Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) is a three-yearly international comparable survey of the educational performance and skills of 15-year-olds in reading, mathematics, and science across OECD countries and other partner countries, as well as exploring factors influencing student motivation and knowledge development, variations in performance in relation to gender and socio-economic background and the implications for policy development. This summary report contains the main findings from the PISA 2000 survey, with profiles for 27 OECD member countries which took part.
