He is a leading psychiatrist who received Ruane Prize for Outstanding Achievement in Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Research by NARSAD. Frank Verhulst is professor and director of child and adolescent psychiatry at Erasmus University Medical Center in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. He is author of over 400 peer reviewed articles and has published 15 books in the Dutch language and 6 books in the English language. He was editor of the Journal of Child Psychology and Psychiatry and is currently Editor at Large of the Journal of the American academy of Child and Adolescent psychiatry, member of the Dutch Health Council and member of the board of the Dutch Medical Research Council.
