Overview

MaX-1 is a graphic platform for computational electromagnetics (on PCs running under Windows 95 or NT) with advanced tools for the visualization and animation of electromagnetics fields. The product combines a powerful executable (MaX-1) together with an extensive tutorial package which demonstrates its diverse features, high level of flexibility and broad range of applications. The ""User Manual, Tutorial and Making Movies Guide"" are included in the CD-ROM (in Word 97, help file and html formats) together with input files of all examples considered in the tutorial and corresponding AVI movie animation files. The accompanying ""Getting Started with MaX-1"" manual, provides step-by-step illustrated guidance to use each type of solvers, creating a project, and drawing objects in MaX. Purchase of the package entitles the user to a complimentary copy of the text ""Post-modern Electromagnetics Using Intelligent MaXwell Solvers"". A demo version is available on the Internet at: http://alphard.ethz.ch/hafner/max1.htm
