Author Information

Bradley T. Erford, Ph.D., LCPC, NCC, LPC, LP, LSP, is a Past President of the American Counseling Association (ACA) and a professor in the school counseling program of the Education Specialties Department in the School of Education at Loyola University Maryland. He has authored or edited more than 30 books. His research specialization falls primarily in development and technical analysis of psycho-educational tests and outcomes research and has resulted in the publication of more than 60 refereed journal articles, more than 100 book chapters, and 15 published tests. He has received numerous awards for his scholarship and service to the counseling profession from ACA and the Association for Assessment and Research in Counseling (AARC), organizations within which he has held numerous leadership positions. Danica G. Hays, PhD, LPC, NCC, is an associate professor of counseling and chair of the Department of Counseling and Human Services at Old Dominion University. Dr. Hays served as Founding Editor of Counseling Outcome Research and Evaluation, a national peer-refereed journal of the AARC, and is Editor of Counselor Education and Supervision, a national peer-refereed journal of the Association for Counselor Education and Supervision. She served as President of the AARC in 2011-12. Her research interests include qualitative methodology, assessment and diagnosis, trauma and gender issues, and multicultural and social justice concerns in counselor preparation and community mental health. She has published numerous articles and book chapters in these areas. Stephanie A. Crockett, PhD, NCC, is an assistant professor at Oakland University and director of the Oakland University Adult Career Counseling Center. Her research interests include career counseling outcomes, research methods and assessment in counseling, and multicultural issues in counselor preparation. She has published many referred articles in professional counseling journals and authored several book chapters. Dr. Crockett is also actively involved in the Association for Assessment and Research in Counseling (AARC) and has presented at several regional and national counseling conferences. As a member of the OU counseling faculty, Dr. Crockett teaches master's level courses in multicultural counseling and research methods in counseling, and provides doctoral student mentoring on research and dissertation projects.
