She is actively engaged as an expert adviser on law and ethics issues in health and medicine and is a member of the British Medical Association's Medical Ethics Committee. She previously worked as a lawyer in private legal practice, specialising in mass torts and clinical negligence. Dr Edward S. Dove is Reader in Health Law and Regulation and Deputy Director of the Mason Institute at the University of Edinburgh.
