P. L. Travers (1899-1996) was a drama critic, travel essayist, reviewer, and lecturer. She authored many books, but it is for the character of Mary Poppins that she is best remembered. Genevieve Godbout is a children's book illustrator. She lives in Montreal. www.genevievegodboutillustration.com
