Overview

Maria is a witch living during the Hundred Years' War between England and France. She hates war, so to keep the people of the village she protects safe, Maria will use all the power at her disposal to stop the fighting, whether that means conjuring giant dragons or sending her succubus familiar out to mesmerize the warring generals with her charms. But what do the villagers think of her ""help""? And what will happen if Heaven notices her interference into human affairs? This story has a funny touch with a little history thrown in. A WAR TO END WAR After an intervention brought about by the archangel Michael, Maria must stop interfering in the lives of humans or face harsh punishment. But as the battle between England and France continues along its seemingly endless path of destruction, Maria isn't going to let a stern warning and Michael's puny dove familiar prevent her from stopping the thing she hates most in this world. With her powerful magic and a few dirty tricks she'll do all that she can to stop the madness, but is one witch enough to bring peace to the world?

Masayuki Ishikawa is a popular Japanese comics artist who is most well known for his series Moyasimon- Tales of Agriculture, a series that has gone on to become a long-running comic series and televised anime. Junketsu no Maria will be his first completed work to be published in the United States.
