OverviewThe construction sector, although fundamental to the national economy, is recognized as a major generator of environmental impacts due to the unrestrained use of natural resources and the significant production of waste. The book highlights the recycling plant in the city of Betim-MG, managed by ECOS, as an example of sustainability, converting large volumes of rubble into useful raw materials for the city. Through a case study carried out at the Construction Solid Waste Recycling Plant - RSCD in the Municipality of Betim, located in the metropolitan region of Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais.
