The two volumes of Kenneth Merrick's Luftwaffe Colours and Markings will be an important and definitive reference work for aviation historians and modellers for many years to come. The unique feature of these books is the colour paint chip cards which are made from paint mixed to the original formulae stipulated by the RLM and made by the same firm - still in business - which made the originals back in the 1930s and 1940s. Volume Two provides in-depth studies of the colours and markings of the Luftwaffe's bombers, dive-bombers and ground-attack aircraft, night fighters and various maritime and anti-shipping aircraft, commercial aircraft and military transports, reconnaissance aircraft and helicopters as well as training, liaison and light aircraft.
