Machado obtained his BSc and MSc degrees in electrical engineering from the Federal University of Minas Gerais State, Brazil, in 1987 and 1990 respectively, and his Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Imperial College, London, in 1997. Between his BSc and MSc degrees he was the founding director of Hepta Systems, a medical and video instrumentation company, and also lecturer of biomedical instrumentation at the Catholic University of Minas Gersa, Brazil. Machado was co-organiser and technical programme chair of the EBMicro95 meeting (microelectronics for telecommunications) in Recife-PE, Brazil. He has lectured at companies and universities across the world and has published in the fields of biomedical and clinical engineering, technology transfer and planning, and low-power VLSI circuit design. His interests include medical instruments involving lowpower integrated electronics, modelling, simulation and design of mixed-mode ICs. Tab Content 6Author Website:Countries AvailableAll regions |
