Kenneth Wozniak has fruitfully explored the ethical dimension of the letter to the Hebrews. He finds that ethics is grounded in the person and work of Jesus, as in the Gospels. But, whereas the Gospels operate from his earthly lifework, Hebrews also focuses on heavenly aspects, his post-ascension exaltation and eternal nature. Readers will come away with a deeper appreciation of the development of the Letter and its ethical orientation. --Leslie C. Allen, senior professor of Old Testament, Fuller Theological Seminary Ken Wozniak's Living as the Living Jesus motivates one to rethink who Jesus is and explore the implications of this. This book does not give the answers to perplexing ethical questions; rather, it mines the Scripture and proffers a way of thinking about Jesus and life's issues, while in complete dependence on the Lord, that helps one on their journey toward Christlikeness. I wish I had this book years ago. --Patrick Krayer, executive director, Interserve USA Is your Jesus incomplete? I would've said 'no' but Ken Wozniak convinced me otherwise. Utilizing the book of Hebrews, a seasoned background in the discipline of ethics, and a pastoral heart, Wozniak demonstrates that we can only follow Jesus rightly when we understand Jesus well--all of Jesus found in the New Testament and not just the Gospel depictions. Might your Jesus be incomplete? If you said 'yes, ' read this book! If you said 'no, ' read it anyway. --Jon Lemmond, lead pastor, Trinity Covenant Church, Salem, Oregon As one who seeks to be apprenticed faithfully to Jesus of Nazareth in all matters of life, faith, and ethics, I naturally have looked to the example of his own life and teaching especially as given to us in the Gospels and in the Sermon on the Mount. Ken Wozniak calls for a radical rethinking of and essential enlargement of this approach to ask how the resurrected, exalted, and glorified Jesus of the book of Hebrews can and must be our inspiration, guide, and empowerment for mature Christian life, moral discernment, and ethics. I will be pondering, praying, and seeking to apply this profound insight for a long time. --Charles W. Barker, campus staff member, InterVarsity Christian Fellowship
