Author Information
Marna Hattingh is an artist and book illustrator whose drawings and paintings have been exhibited throughout South Africa. Carole Bloch has been the director of the Project for the Study of Alternative Education in South Africa, based out of the University of Cape Town, for more than two decades. She is the author of several books for children and is a cofounder and trustee of the Little Hands Trust, which promotes and supports the development of children's literature in Africa. Zukiswa Wanner is a South African journalist and novelist. Her novels include Men of the South, which was shortlisted for a Commonwealth Writers' Prize. She has contributed to publications such as Elle, Forbes Africa, the Guardian, the Mail & Guardian, the New Statesman, and the Sunday Times, among others. She is also a founding member of ReadSA, a campaign that encourages South Africans to read South African works.
