Ross teaches at the American College of Greece in Athens. He has written and lectured widely in the fields of International Relations and European affairs since taking his PhD at the London School of Economics in 1987. He taught political science at Northeastern University in Boston until 1995. He held a visiting appointment in 1993-94 as Fulbright fellow at the International School of Social Sciences at the University of Tampere in Finland. His book Neutrality and International Sanctions was also published by Praeger, in 1989. His numerous publications have appeared in academic journals in Europe and the U.S., and he has also been a frequent contributor to the international press.
