OverviewÀ Janwaar, où la vie semble immuable, la communauté est strictement divisée en castes. C'était un endroit tranquille... jusqu'au début des travaux de construction. Ramkesh ignore ce que ce sera. Il n'y a que des rampes et des buttes. Une fois la structure terminée, il voit des enfants s'y élancer, debout sur d'étranges planches munies de roulettes. On l'invite à essayer et il devient accro. Il s'entraîne à faire des figures sur sa planche à roulettes. Au début, il n'y a que des garçons, mais Ramkesh propose à sa soeur et à d'autres filles à se joindre à lui. Le petit village acquiert une réputation de haut lieu de la planche à roulettes. Les gens affluent de partout dans le monde pour le visiter et enseigner des figures aux enfants. Ramkesh et ses amis sont même invités à voyager en Europe. Mais le plus important, c'est qu'ils reviennent chez eux pour raconter ce qu'ils ont vécu et insufflent un nouveau sentiment de joie et d'unité chez les villageois, ce qui leur montre que les choses peuvent changer à l'avenir.
