Author Information

Dr Michael Head is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Law at the University of Western Sydney. Michael praviously taught law at LaTrobe, University of Adelaide and ANU in the 1970s, and returned to academic life in 1998 after two decades as editor of a socialist newspaper. Michael publishes regularly in the fields of socialist legal theory, civil liberties and refugee law and is editor of the University of Western Sydney Law Review. Dr Scott Mann has taught philosophy, psychology and critical social theory in the Universities of Sussex, Sydney, New South Wales and Western Sydney. He has had many years experience teaching in adult education with the WEA and has published books on psychoanalysis and society, and the sociology of religion.
