OverviewHave you ever heard a kid say something so unexpected that you didn't quite know how to respond? There's nothing quite like the unfiltered expressions of childish wisdom and observation to make you stop in your tracks, shake your head, and try not to laugh out loud. Licensed psychotherapist and art therapist Lisa A. Barrett has a knack for asking just the right questions to bring out these gems from kids... even if she doesn't expect the answers herself at the moment! Over the years of offering art therapy and counseling, she's collected dozens of sweet sentiments, sharp observations, and hilarious views on life from the children she has worked with. The dozens of anecdotes compiled here, and delightfully illustrated by Lisa herself, will take you on a journey that can open your eyes, make you giggle along, and shake your head in wonder at what will come out of a child's mouth next. Smile along as kids reflect on their parents, siblings, school, and friends in the most unexpected ways. Kids. They just get it in a way adults can't!
