Laguna Beach, California -- 1978 The house on Myrtle Street-not quite like the old and beloved one on Shadow Lane-but the family resumes its comfortable gatherings around the dining table there with Hal and Simon. Author Information

Robert Heylmun has written three novels, numerous essys, and a number of editorials for various media both here and in Italy where he made his home for seven years. He lived in Laguna Beach for twelve years during what was the best decade for gay life there, and the events and people in The House on Shadow Lane and Lagunatics, although fictional, derive from both his passion for witing now supersedes almost every other interest apart from cooking for friends in his home in San Diego.
