Each picture gives a hint from true horse whisperers on how to treat your horse and to make life a better experience for you and your animals. Also included is the history of Lady Godiva and her husband Leofric, who promoted the legend of Lady Godiva and her rides naked through the streets of Coventry, England, in the eleventh century.

Author Information

Anita McCune Witt's first book, The History of Missouri Heights, was published in 1998. The Last of the Cowboys was published in 2002, and is a collection of reminiscences from local cowboys describing their lives as youngsters and growing into manhood on ranches founded in the early 1880s by their grandparents all over the world, who settled in the beautiful Roaring Fork Valley and beyond. The book was also developed into a documentary, which was shown on Rocky Mountain PBS in 2008. Anita, at age seventy-one still entertains and does a rodeo act with her beautiful trick horses, Whiskey & Jose Cuervo and her dog Spankey.
